memory

Now I forgot most of the vocabularies which I learned before because I seldom used them. I think my memory is worse than before, so sometimes I will think myself is more stupid than I was a high school student. Today I had a little test about my short-term memory. The first type of the test was that the teacher said several numbers which in different speeds in Chinese. The second type of the test was several numbers said in English and in different speeds. Moreover, those letters couldn’t become a word. The last one was that the teacher said several letters of the alphabet. I thought the numbers said in English this one was the most difficult to me. If I listened to several letters at the same time, my brain would turn off automatically. I need to train and improve the capacity of my short-term memory.

TOEIC

I haven’t attend the test like TOEIC for two years, so this time I was very nervous. For preparing TOEIC, I practiced lots of listening and reading exercises. Finally I took TOEIC test in my own school, STUT, last Sunday. Chezzie and I were in the same classroom, and she sit behind me. This made me feel more comfortable that there was someone who you knew in the same classroom. The test time went so soon because I focused on my test seriously. When the bell rang, I just finished my whole questions. After finishing the test, I asked my friends how they felt about this test. To my surprise, Chezzie didn’t finish the questions. Jean also didn’t finish them. Should I be happy that I finished my paper?

dealing with anxiety

It’s hardly surprising that a lot of people are feeling anxious these days. I also usually feel anxious during the exam time and when I am in a big trouble. The way I solved the problem were that I would take a deep breath or drank hot tea. An article, from TIME magazine said that this kind of level was manageable. However, I had trouble sleeping. Serious anxiety might cause lots of other problem; trouble sleeping was one of them. They classified this symptom in serious level which should see a professional. In my age, as a youth, shouldn’t I have a sound sleep? Sometimes, even though I am very tired and sleepy, I just can’t fall asleep right away. Maybe take me about 30 minutes to fall asleep I guess. I want to sleep soundly, so maybe I’d better see a doctor.

Chezzie's birthday

We didn’t celebrate Chezzie’s birthday together last Friday. I went to the concert, and Chezzie also went to Taipei. The others had something else to do, too. Therefore, except Chezzie, four of us went to pick the present this Tuesday. Of course she didn’t know what we were planning. After buying the present, we told her we were going to eat outside last night, a simple dinner. Before going out, we held the cake and present and stood in front of her door. We wanted to give her a surprise. She never thought we were going to celebrate her birthday today. And then we went to have a big meal. Also we took lots of pictures. No matter how busy we were, it still was important to get together with our family and friends.

concert

I went to Linkin Park’s concert with my friend, Julie, last Friday. After finishing the whole mid-term exams, I thought it was a good way to have fun and relax. I had liked this band for 5 years since I studied in the senior high school. When I want to refresh myself, I will listen to their songs. Some people might think their songs are too noisy, like Chezzie, she doesn’t like this kind of songs at all. However, I just love them. This concert was held in Taipei. I seldom go to Taipei, so Taipei is a very unfamiliar place for me. This also was my first time to go to the concert. The concert was awesome that night. I hope they could come to Taiwan soon again.

oral exam

Today was my oral mid-term exam. I was so nervous that I couldn’t sleep well last night. The topic is that to describe the last day before I leave Taiwan if I go abroad for 3 years and never come back during that time. Of course, I will say good-bye to my family and friends first. And also say good-bye to my pets, 3 little birds. Bring their pictures with me. Next, go to the supermarket to buy some daily stuff which is hardly to buy and use in foreign countries. Probably I won’t sleep all night. I’ll pack my luggage until making sure that I already brought everything I need. Bring a good camera with me is also very important, so that I can record everything that happened on my trip or study. Anyway, after finishing this exam, I felt relieved and went back to sleep again.

Christ Child

It is said that the winter of this year will be colder and wetter by Christ Child. It is okay for me that the weather is cold or freezing. All I need to do is that wearing more and more heavy clothes as possible as I can. The thing I most hardly bear is that raining all the time. I hate the rain. It is uncomfortable that all my clothes, shoes, or bags get wet. It also doesn’t smell good when it is raining. Anyway, having Christ Child is not a good phenomenon in the world. The main cause is human beings actually.

I love dolphins

I liked Japan and I liked dolphins, too. Japanese food always was one of my favorite foods, especially the sashimi. However, I couldn’t accept that the Japanese killed the dolphins for food which was their custom. There were about 14,000 dolphins were killed for food in Japan yearly. Dolphins were the protective animals, so it was guilty to kill the dolphins. The American actress, Hayden Panettiere, and other animal rights activists went to protect the dolphins from hunting. Fishermen not only shouted to them but also attacked them. I thought this slaughter was too horrible even though it was one of the Japanese customs.

changing hairstyle

Changing hair styles need bravery. I had my hair cut with my friend, Maggie, last Thursday. She also had a haircut. Her hair was as long as mine was, but she made a decision, that is, had a short hair. I haven’t seen her with a short hair since we graduated from junior high. This was a big change for her. She told me that I should have the same hair style like her. However, I was not sure that her style was suitable to me. The hair designer said it was not suitable to me because I had a baby face, it would make me more look like a senior high school student. Therefore, I just trimmed my hair that day. I was afraid to have a big change on my hair.
